Trenchless Sewer Line Repair in Allentown, PA by Tim Beil Plumbing

Trouble in your residential sewer line will mean trouble throughout your house. Unfortunately, it isn’t an easy job to repair a pipeline that’s buried a few feet under the yard. The standard procedure for many years when it came to sewer line repair was to use large digging equipment to open a trench to access the pipe. This was a lengthy process, and it made the yards of homes look like small combat zones. Although this excavation method of repairing sewer lines is still used, a much better route is now available thanks to trenchless technology.

When you suspect that you have a damaged sewer line, don’t pick up the phone and simply call any plumbing contractor. You want to reach out to a plumber who can use trenchless technology to handle the repair work. Tim Beil Plumbing performs trenchless sewer line repair that removes all the disruptive and time-consuming trench digging. We are the people to call when you think that your sewer lines need to be fixed, and fixed fast.

The experienced plumbers at Tim Beil Plumbing offer trenchless sewer line repair in Allentown, PA and the surrounding areas.

What Is Trenchless Technology?

Trenchless technology is a type of lateral digging that uses borers to make it easy to lay cable and pipelines without extensive digging. Trenchless technology has been used for years in cities to allow the placement of water, sewer and power lines beneath streets. Today, plumbers can use this technology to simplify the process of repairing damaged sewer lines for homes.

When you call for trenchless pipeline repair, plumbers will first use a camera on a long fiber optic cable to inspect the sewer line from the inside. Once they identify the area that requires repairs, they dig two small holes on your property on either side of the damaged section of pipe. On one end is a hydraulic device, and through the other end the plumbers insert a pipe liner. The hydraulic device draws the liner through the damaged pipe section. Then an object called a pipe burster is pulled through the pipe section. This forcibly expands the liner, which shatters apart the older damaged pipe and replaces it with the line. The plumbers attach the new pipe section at both ends to the rest of the sewer line, then fill in the two small holes. The repairs should take a few hours, with only the two re–landscaped spots remaining behind.
